FORWARD WINS THREE; MAGNUM SEELSTER PUSHES STREAK TO FOUR AT DRESDEN

July 10, case 2016 – (DRESDEN) – Brad Forward scored a driving triple today at Dresden Raceway to hit double digits in the driver’s standings.

Forward opened the card by guiding PERFECT POSER to victory in the first race after making a first up brush down the backside to outduel OUTSIDE CHANCE down the stretch for the win by a head in 2:03. The Badlands Hanover colt is co-owned by Greg Rogers of Auburn Hills Michigan and Robert Watson of Windsor and trained by Mike Rogers.

The Newfoundland native notched his second win in the sixth race with STOLEN GOODS. Forward made a quick move just before the half stepping off his second quarter in 29.3 to take a three length lead and never look back for a win in 2:01. The nine-year-old Sugarcane Leonard mare is owned by William Rankin of Dundas and Roger Jardine of Arthur while Jennifer Rankin is the conditioner.

Forward’s third win was in the seventh race with six-year-old No Pan Intended gelding, ampoule INTRIGUED INTENDED. INTRIGUED INTENDED went wire-to-wire in 1:59 for owners Tammy Johnston of Dorchester and David Bingham of Concord Michigan and trained by Greg Weatherbee.

Tyler Borth and Andy Moore each notched two wins on the day. Borth now has 21 victories on the season at Dresden in the driver’s standings while Moore’s two wins keep him just one ahead of Forward for second spot with 11 wins while Forward has 10 wins in third place.

MAGNUM SEESLTER worked hard to earn his fourth straight win at Dresden Raceway as he moved first up to chase front runner JULIO LAUXMONT down and then held off a late stretch drive by RIGHTINTHEKISSER in 2:00.1. Tyler Borth drove the 11-year-old Intrepid Seelster gelding to the winner’s circle for owner/trainer Doug Currie of Brigden.

The on-track handle at Dresden Raceway was $22, salve 369 which gives the local oval an on-track average of $20,467 over 8 race dates.

Dresden Raceway will be having the usual contests and giveaways as well as honouring Royal Canadian Legion members next week with a 1:30 P.M. post time.
